Superbowl Sunday

So the patriots lost =(
I didn't even get to see the game, I was at work for 3/4 of it and I came back here right after (we don't have a TV) but I heard it was a close one!

Today was a nice Sunday, yet again.
I did 60 minutes of Hot Yoga... very intense, I couldn't even do a handful of the more challenging asanas! But it's all about practice, I'm sure I'll get there someday =)

After yoga, I was STARVING so my mom and I headed to one of our town's cute cafes... this one was called "Java Madness"... they're right by the marina, so it's great to watch the boats come by out on the deck in the summer!
Today was a beautiful day for sure, but we stayed inside.
Java makes great coffee and pastries, but we went for lunch... I got a panini-style sandwich on whole wheat bread with provolone cheese and grilled vegetables. I also ate a pickle on the side! It was very good, and filling... probably because of the full fat cheese (there were 2 big slices) but it held me like I wanted it to!
I actually was so hungry, I dug into my panini as soon as I got it and forgot to photograph it! Whoops.
I did get a bit of the end of it for ya-

Not sure the calorie count at all, it was filled with grilled peppers/onions, probably grilled with oils... but it was pretty simple otherwise. Veggies, cheese, bread. I'm not going to estimate this one, but it was pretty balanced!

Afterwards I studied at Starbucks for a couple hours, and grabbed a tall nonfat latte and had an apple for a snack before work.

At work, I had another easy dinner of tuna, some of the cauliflower I cooked last night, and a baggie of raw veggies to snack on. I ate it all and it filled me until I came home for my nightly snack.

Dinner calories: ~300

I was SOOO excited about my evening snack tonight! While my mom and I were out and about we stopped at Stop & Shop quick, and I grabbed myself a blood orange! I LOVE these, and we hardly ever get them around here. Not as good as the ones I ate in Italy in April, but it was nice and juicy... yum!

Snack calories: ~80

I got a good amount of work done at Starbucks today, so tonight I'm just going to put my laundry away and make it an early night.
Tomorrow's my long day... I'll definately be packing snacks!

Good night!

Hi Kristen,

Your post got me craving a panini! I usually request for mayo on the side and less olive oil when I order my panini. I hate how mayo makes everything so soggy so prefer to add the amount myself and ditto for the olive oil. It's good fat but too much can be too oily.

Glad that you had a good hot yoga session. Yoga is great:)

These paninis are made to order, so maybe I should have asked for less oil- thats a good suggestion, I'll try it next time! Mine didn't have any mayo though, good thing!
