Long day back

It was a long, tiring day getting back into classes... lots and lots of powerpoints and notes, so my hand is a bit sore!
I had a good appointment with my advisor after my first Nutrition class though. I don't have to take Stats next semester, I'm waiting until the spring... but I DO have to take Anatomy and Anatomy lab, Writing, two nutrition courses (one being computer focused), AND a supporting elective. No more chem (whoo hoo!)... as long as I pass this semester... but it will be another jam packed few months i'm afraid. Luccily I can take it a bit more easily my second semester next year because I'm getting 6 credits out of the way with Italy this summer, so that's good news!
Anyways, onto my food for today...

For lunch I packed myself some leftover quorn slices with spinach and mushroom gravy stuffed in a whole wheat pita. The addition of the gravy made it very tasty! I also had some carrots sticks (a big handful, no counting) and a sliced pear.

This held me over a few hours, and I snacked on some home made trail mix after my advisor meeting (dried bananas, cranberries, pumpkin seeds and mixed nuts- just a bit of each, no measuring)

For dinner I just heated up some leftovers- nothing special but a really, really tasty combo- Sweet and Sour Cabbage and Lemon Quinoa salad. Mmm, I think both are even better the second time around!

I have to go work on some homework now... yep, first day back and I'm already slammed. =(
Just five weeks left and counting though!

ahh, so sorry that you had to endure classes, the day after Easter - but as you said, just 5 weeks left! :0)

Just curious--what brand of pitas do you use?

Chickpea,
I use different brands- sometimes I'll use Joseph's Flax, Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Flour Pita Bread, which only has 60 calories and is good, but not as filling as some other brands (despite the added healthy fats)
My favorite is Thomas' Sahara 100% Whole Wheat pitas. They're dense and flavorful, but not too big, and only 140 calories.
Sometimes I'll also buy Whole Food's brand wheat pitas as well.
I look to make sure my pitas are 100% whole wheat, have recognizable ingredients and are trans fat free!

I have never tried that Joseph's brand, but maybe I'll try it for snacking purposes. I like the Ezekiel ones, as well as Toufayan's oat bran variety. Sahara is good too, but I can get that only when I visit my Nana in Chicago. I love the Whole Foods brand because its ingredients list is so simple: whole wheat flour, yeast, and salt (or something like that).
