Lovely family gathering

My sister and I, all easter cute!

I had a great time at my aunt's house today; I got to see my family, and do my fair share of indulging on lots of yummy foods!
Before we left I snacked on some yogurt and granola to hold me over:

When we arrived we all got together in the family room and talked, I had one small piece of cheese with a wheat cracker for an appetizer, but skipped the chips and rich dip.

For dinner, I had one small glass of punch to toast, then switched to water with my big meal. I had a salad to start, then filled my plate up high with a mix of veggie sides, and some "quorn" roast with a bit of mushroom gravy. I was proud of myself for just having my plateful (though it was heaping...) and not going back for seconds... except for the 5 tiny pickles I nibbled on while packing up leftovers, which I brought a LOT of home for meals this week!

Dessert was absolutely delicious- My olive oil cake was a hit, everybody loved it and I only got to snag one small piece to take back with me for a treat this week!
I tried a bit of everything: my olive oil cake with a little fruit compote, some fruit salad and a bit of pineapple cream cake, as well as a small sliver of ice cream roll.

I was stuffed, but not OVER stuffed, and it was a really nice time catching up with family!

Right now I'm back at my house, vegging out for a bit- I'll have leftovers for dinner and then I'm heading back to school late, I have classes again tomorrow morning!

I'll post my leftovers supper later on tonight =)

yummmm! your day looks seriously DELICIOUS! I don't celebrate Easter so I am living vicariously through you : ) I've been a silent reader of your blog for a while and I really like it, I love how honest you are, and I feel like I can really relate to you. I too just got back to school from a week at home for spring break (I go to school in Boston and live in Pittsburgh, so I don't get to see my family very often) and it's always sad going back after such a relaxing break. I cheered myself up by going to the grocery store tonight though, one of my favorite things! Enjoy the rest of your night : )
