My baking adventure went fairly well, I made the delicious "no-pudge" cappucino fudge brownies super easily (using vanilla nonfat stonyfield yogurt) and then frosted them with (no so no pudge) whipped hersheys frosting... yes, I licked BOTH spoons. ;)
The decorating was a bit more difficult. My roommate is an environmental science major, so I attempted an "environmental theme" by using green icing (her fave color!) and spearmint "leaves". Well, the nozzle on my icing broke so I couldn't exactly write out "Happy Birthday" but I got a jumbled "Happy" and a "19" on there so it was pretty much successful!
They were verrrry tasty too, I had a small one myself, with a spearmint leaf of course =)
I did eat dinner before I went to outing, although I would have liked to substitute my dinner for the rest of the plate of brownies, I knew I had to share (haha) so I made myself a quick Salmon filet (Teriyaki) with some leftover whole wheat couscous and mixed veggies- cooked cauliflower, broccolli and carrots. Quick and very filling- I wasn't even hungry for the brownie, but of course I never pass up a semi-healthy chocolatey treat!
Here's my dinner:
And my treat:
(It got a bit messy, it was a bit bigger than it looks as well!)
As exciting as it was, my baking experiance took up 2+ hours of my study time this afternoon... so I still have a BUNCH to study for my Kinesiology exam tomorrow, better get started!
I might be back for a small snack later, although I'm pretty much over my food limit for today... we'll see.
