Comfy Cozy

I had a very nice afternoon, my chem help was very helpful, which I was glad for, and I celebrated the lovely afternoon by taking a sunny walk up to the emporium to grab some baklava... my FAVORITE treat (I'm Syrian, it's in my blood!) for my friend Alex's dessert party later this evening. While I was there the owner insisted I sample a small (about 1/3 a "finger") piece with some honey drizzled on... and of course I just couldn't refuse!

I bought my baklava, and headed back to the dorm where I hung around for a bit, got a few tasks finished, talked to the roommate and had a generally lazy friday afternoon.
I snacked on a peach soy yogurt to hold me until dinner:

I had a very easy comforting dinner, 2 cups butternut squash soup along with some kashi crackers and 1/2 a small cucumber sliced and dipped into some hummus (about 1.5 Tbsp, I didn't measure)- I ate it fast and didn't realize how FULL I was until afterwards! It was a pretty volumunous meal, but very healthy!

I have to go do my dishes, and then I'm off to the dessert party!
I know there will be lots of fun treats; I'm bringing the baklava and some red grapes to share, and I'll probably be indulging in both of these, as well as a home made brownie and cookie or two ;)
I'll try and take pics, but I will report back... my goal is to let myself indulge, of course, and enjoy myself, but not too much!

Have a great Friday night!
