Flavor trio

I just love the way the flavors and textures of one of my favorite breakfasts come together- the creamy, bitter greek yogurt, sweet fresh blueberries and tangy, crunchy ginger granola! Mmmm... the perfect trio!

This morning I had 1/2 banana nut bread clif bar (another favorite) and headed out for a nice 45 minute run.
I came back, showered and put together my delicious bowl of 1 fage 0% yogurt, topped with just over 3/4 cup granola and an entire little container of blueberries... it was just about a cup. I swirled everything all together and enjoyed my flavorful combination!

I'm very busy again today, I'm leaving to study at Starbucks before work right after class, so I'll be posting lunch/snack/dinner when I get home later tonight.
Have a great Wednesday; it's hump day so we're almost getting ready for the weekend! =)

Isn't it great the blueberries are FINALLY coming into season?? They really make breakfasts that much tastier; as do bananas! But those are always available ;0)

Good luck with your busy day - I have one ahead of me as well!! Bring on the weekend already!! :0D

i have a quick question and i am hoping you can help since you are a runner and nutrition major. what would you recommend for post workout fuel (running). like fat/protein/carb percentages?

Veggiegirl,
SO true! I love my fruits!

Bamarunner,
It's important to make sure your post workout meal replenishes your body what it lost while working out. This means it's super important to make sure you have a good amount of healthy carbohydrates (fruit, whole grains) and protein (dairy is good post workout, like yogurts in a smoothie) along with some healthy fats. I like to include nuts or a nut butter in my post workout snack, along with some carbs and fruit to get that good balance. A smoothie with peanut butter, some grains with a nut butter spread and a piece of fruit, yogurt and nuts, cereal and milk... It's not necessarily percentages, just as long as you get what you need in. Think protein and carbohydrates to re-fuel and you should be good!

Chocolatecoveredvegan,
You are very welcome, your blog is one of my favorites I just had to add it!
Thank you as well =)
