I remember when I was little, and my mom used to buy me the quaker multipacks of oats, I would always go for the maple and brown sugar, or maybe the cinnamon raisin spice. But I'd always leave the apple cinnamon packets for last, they were never my first choice. However, when I got to the bottom of the box, I'd always enjoy the packets of apple cinnamon oats. Maybe I liked them more than I thought!
This morning I was reminded of my younger oat packet loving days when I tried a little bit of a more "grown up" version of quaker (and much healthier as well!) Quaker Simple Harvest Apples and Cinnamon.
Of course this one little packet surely would not fill me, so I addd 1/4 cup regular quick oats to the mix, cooked it up with 1 cup vanilla hemp milk and swirled in 1 tbsp pb, and 1 tbsp flax for some healthy fats. The result? A delicious, creamy apple cinnamon-y delight! I definately enjoyed this change of breakfast.
This morning I had 1/2 a banana with 1 tsp PB, went to the gym and did 20 minutes cardio on the cross trainer, and 20 minute on the stationary bike. I had the other 1/2 of my banana with my oats:
Off to review philosophy, I'm hoping to get my chem exam back today... wish me luck!
See you all after dinner...

my friend is in love with that simple harvest oatmeal. me personally, i prefer the plain old fashioned oats with peanute butter. nothing beats it!
Thats true, I do prefer my oats my way, but I've got a few of these packets on hand, so I figured a change would be nice!
One doesn't fill me though, I need the extra boost from the extra I add.
