What a week

This week has been a very different one for me, seeing as I've gotten so used to my regular routine and now it's all about to change! The weekend is finally here, but I don't have much time to relax. After tossing and turning in bed last night, waking up and falling back to sleep a couple times, when I woke up this morning and saw that it was raining out I was a bit relieved. No run for me this morning; I was starving so I had my usual pre-workout snack, this time choosing the other 1/2 of my whole wheat mini bagel with 1 tsp each almond butter/jelly.
I proceeded to do a 35 minute strength routine, including abs, arms, weighted lunges, squats, plies, some pushups and planks.
I felt good afterwards, definately strengthened, but still very tired. So, I took my shower hoping that would wake me up, got ready, and STILL, after eating my big breakfast and drinking a big mug of coffee, I feel exhausted.
I guess it could be worse; my plans for today include studying and then work- so I don't have anything too demanding on my plate, but feeling like a zombie kind of stinks.

For breakfast I had 1 1/2 servings of raspberry granola (1 cup) along with the rest of my hemp milk (1 cup) and a big pear on the side. It was yummy, but I was very full about 3/4 of the way through... I still finished it, because I knew I needed the fuel (and the extra calories to reach my goal) but this was a very new feeling to me- breakfast is always my biggest meal of the day, and I ALWAYS finish my breakfast, sometimes wanting more even when I know I'm full. I love my big breakfasts and have never felt otherwise. Odd, I guess my whole body is out of whack today!

Lets hope I can still get some good studying done today.
Because of the rain my Mom is picking me (and a bunch of my stuff!) up mid morning, and I'm spending the afternoon before work studying and then coming home to study at home for the weekend. (Much quieter there!)

I'll be posting later on tonight, hopefully I'll be raving about my miraculous energy burst, but it doesn't look like it at this point...

Uhh, i didnt have a very restful sleep either, im right there with ya feeling like a bit of a zombie. Best of luck making it through :), at least it's friday!!

Kristin-
I just noticed the link to Miss Kara Mel's journal today and read an entry or two. We're an insane amount alike. It's too bad you're in Rhode Island and I'm in Missouri, because I think we would have a seriously good time hanging out. You're entry about liking to spend time alone, not partying, or being with a big group all the time...all of that totally resonates with me. A saturday alone with Veganomicon is my ideal. And you're list of new years resolutions looks like a photocopy of my journal. Balance was top on my list too. Anyway, if you ever want to chat, talk recipes, running, etc via email let me know. Maybe thats sort of a strange suggestion...dont mean to be intrusive? I don't know, just thought I'd throw it out there :) Anyway, enjoy your friday.
