Foods to comfort

I had a nice, relaxing day as I had hoped- but it's not over yet! I still have tons more relaxing to do, however unfortunately I won't be going to yoga tonight. I LOVE my studio but it is in the worst location- on a main road so parking spots are a ways away, and it has been on an off raining/POURING/drizzling... so honestly it would kind of ruin my 'relaxation day' if I ended up dripping wet at yoga class! BUT I will be doing some yoga tonight for sure- I just feel like I need it today, so I'll be doing one of my lovely Yoga Downloads later this evening!

But back to my eats for the day...

After doing a whole lot of reading and giving myself a nice pedicure, I made myself a favorite trio for lunch- egg white omelet with honey ham (2 slices) and cheese (a light laughing cow). I used 1/2 cup eggwhites, and on the side I had some carrots and a pear.

After lunch I headed to the gym where I did my usual cardio/arm workout I do on MWF. 35 minutes on the elliptical (206 calories burned) and about 35 minutes doing arm exercises. I felt good afterwards, but HUNGRY!
Back home, I had a Muscle Milk Light to hold me until dinner.

I knew I was eating dinner early tonight- I know I'm weird, but I LOVE to eat dinner nice and early so I'm hungry enough for a small snack later on (an hour or two before bed so it's digested though). I was so excited about my dinner- I wanted something comforting, and theres nothing more comforting to me than a big Italian meal!
I made myself some 'super-healthy' turkey meatballs, which were good- definitely not as good as my usual ones; I omitted the eggs and oil I normally use in favor of just spices, parmesan breadcrumbs and a dash of worcestershire mixed with extra lean turkey breast. I served 5 of my meatballs on a bed of whole wheat spaghetti I mixed with some fresh spinach for some added green nutrition! A sprinkle of grated parmesan and presto! Molto delizioso!!

So as I mentioned tonight I'm going to do some yoga, and then maybe get into that bubble bath I've been looking forward to.
Tomorrow is such an exciting day- I have Spin class in the morning, and then Nick's coming home!!!!! So I'm preparing an extra special dinner, of course =)

Have a great evening, all!

**Having picture problems, sorry!!*
