Easy comfort foods!

So tonight I whipped up a quick and easy comfort-food dinner after a few hours of shopping and groceries!

When I arrived at whole foods I was starving, so I bought a Pecan Pie Larabar and snacked on this...ymm!
My snack was 200 kcal, 14 g fat. (The healthy kind of course!)

It held me over until I got home and made Whole wheat macaroni and cheese (back to nature cheddar brand) with butternut squash and broccoli.
It was the perfect bowl; I used nonfat milk and just a bit of real butter mixed in with the cheese sauce, and I served myself 1 cup of the macaroni and cheese (~300 kcals, 7 g fat), 1 cup cooked broccoli and 1/2 cup sauteed butternut squash. Altogether this came to ~400 kcals, 7.5 g fat.
It was quick, totally yummy and you couldn't even taste the wheat difference in the delish mac n cheese!



Total day's calories so far are ~1345 kcals , but I'm sure I'll be going for a snack later!
