Fresh and Delicious

Mmm... I just finished a delicious breakfast... I was SO excited to use a bunch of my gorgeous strawberries, and I enjoyed every one of them!

This morning I woke up to the strong winds howling outside my window. Yet, when I checked the weather on my laptop it said it was 52 degrees, CRAZY for February! So I grabbed 1/2 a banana nut bread clif bar for a snack (I can't say enough about how fantastic these are- they taste great and a 1/2 is perfect fuel for my morning runs!) and headed down to the gym.
Well, I didn't realize that in addition to being windy, it was RAINING outside as well!
I was already outside, so I decided to suck it up- I knew I'd feel better starting the week with a nice run anways.
So, I jogged down to the gym, shook off (I was dripping!) and went for a nice 40 minute run.
Jogged half the way back, it was only windy drizzle when I headed home. (Of course it's gotten worse again since then)

For my breakfast I combined 1 Fage 0% (5.5 ounces) with 3/4 cup Flax Granola (love this stuff, so tasty!) and a whole bunch of fresh strawberries I sliced up. I had to include a picture of them all ready to be sliced, how pretty are they? Tasted even better than they looked =)

This breakfast (including my pre run clif) was ~515 kcals, give or take a few because I'm not too sure about the strawberries, but hey- those are ALL good calories!

Not looking forward to venturing out into the storm again, but at least it's warm! Today's my long day,so I'll be posting lunch/snack/dinner later on tonight when I get back from my 3 hr nutrition class!

Have a great Monday!

I had strawberries for breakfast too. Yours are quite luscious. :)
About how many miles do you run on average?

I usually run 4-6 miles when I run on the track, between 3.5 and 4 when I run hills, and usually around 4 on the treadmill. It always varies depending on my situation! My favorite is a great 4 mile flat/hill run outside though. I feel it gives me the most benefits!
