Last night I was so tired, I watched Across the Universe... which was absolutely fabulous. Very unique, very different. If you're a Beatles fan, go out and rent it- now. I'm a big fan of musical movies, when they're done right, of course, and this one surely was! I love how they encorporated all of their amazing songs into a beautiful, dramatic love story. Ahh...
So that was a nice way to relax on a Friday night!
Especially because I was stressing out after learning my best friend has the stomach flu, yep- the one I was hanging out with alll Thursday. THAT'S why she didn't feel well! Man, am I praying I don't get it. I know after spending so much time with those "infected" it's pretty much inevitable... but I'm hoping my strong immune system doesn't fail me now!
Last night I felt a bit queasy (power of suggestion) but I had myself a nice yogurt (not organic, all we had in the house- but yummy anyway!) and it settled it right down.
I'm feeling good at the moment, especially after a delicious breakfast- the power of having a toaster- a waffle sandwich! Mmm, I got these Flax Plus waffles at Whole Foods and haven't even gotten to try them yet- they're a bit high in fat and calories, but again- this is HEALTHY FAT, and what I NEED so the fact that they were absolutely delectable made it all the better =)
I toasted them up and sandwiched them with 1 tbsp peanut butter (I'm seriously addicted to this stuff. I've had it every day this week! Yum!) a banana sliced thin (it didn't all fit, I ate the other piece as well!), and about 1 tbsp of sugar free maple syrup... the perfect combo. Sooo delicious and filling!
I'm hoping it keeps me going for a while, I'm going to brunch with my friend Tyler at 12, then we're off to look for a house in town... I'm trying to find a place for next year, because all of my good on-campus kitchen options seem to be shot...grr... and we think we might have found a couple good options! Afterwards I have a delicious dinner planned out for the fam; and I'm heading to another basketball game with my dad later on! What a day! I've also got to get some studying in... So busy, but I love it! At least I know I won't be bored =)
Have a great Saturday!
Can you believe it's time to turn back the clocks tonight? I'm not looking forward to losing an hour of sleep but I love that it means spring is finally on the way!!! (The birds outside agree!)

mmm that waffle sandwich looks so delicious! i've seen a lot of these on blogs recently but i haven't tried one yet. i know this might sound silly, but do you just pick it up and eat it like a regular sandwich? or do you use a fork/knife? haha sorry for the dumb question. good luck house-shopping :)
This one I was able to pick up and eat, sometimes I'll cut them in half because they're so big though! I find it easier to pick up the thinner I slice the banana =)
They are sooo good, I highly reccomend them- this one kept me going for four hours, even through a workout!
