Sisters, sushi and sweets!

I had SUCH a fun night with my sister tonight!!! We seriously had such a great time, I'm still smiling =)
We headed to an early dinner of Sushi and sat at the bar, where we ordered Vegetable Gyoza (veggie dumplings) to start. We ordered them steamed! I was just going to have two... but they were so good I ended up having three! (Normally I'd stick with the two, that would have been enough, for those of you carefully watching portions...I let myself go a little "crazy").

For my dinner I ordered the California Maki, and ate all 6 pieces dipped in a little soy sauce mixed with ginger and wasabi. I love the tang!
We also ordered my favorite splurge- the expensive Spicy Scallop Roll, which I had 2 pieces of.
Our platter:

(Mine is the one closest; my sister ordered her favorite- the Philadelphia roll, in the center)

It was delicious, and needless to say I was nice and full by the end! Not too stuffed though =)
Afterwards, we went to see Never back down. With my martial arts experiance, I found it very interesting... it was intense, but really good! It kept my interest for sure. If you like action packed, grit your teeth and hold your breath movies... this one's for you! My heart is STILL beating.

For our after-movie treat we stopped at the PodHead, which my sister had never been to, and said hi to Danielle, and tried 5, yes, you read me right: 5 different flavors of gelato before deciding on the amaretto/baileys mix (no worries, no ACTUAL alcohol in the gelato!) Which was sooo creamy, sweet and flavorful- just what I was craving! My sister enjoyed her banana/mudslide very much as well, she had NEVER had real italian gelato and I was happy to be the one to introduce it to her! =)

We had such a great ending to a nice, relaxing day. I'm sad tomorrow's my last real relaxation day of vacation but it has been a good one!
Now I've got a bit of school work to do, and then bed!
I'll be up early again tomorrow, running and preparing for Easter on Sunday!
