Vegan Baking delight!

I had a wonderful vegan baking experiance this afternoon!
Went grocery shopping, just some basics- fruits, veggies, whole wheat english muffins... and dinner/baking supplies!
We stopped at the Alternative food co op for Vegan Carob Chips, some unrefined sugar and a couple other dinner ingrediants.
Afterwards, I got treated to a delicious new grande nonfat honey latte from Starbucks! Mmmm it was sooo good! 200 calories, but no fat and 11 grams of protein. I don't usally drink milk, a good latte is the only exeption I make.

I must admit today is definately a "splurge" day for me with the added sugars... I had a bunch in my breakfast, latte, and afternoon snack... a big one of Dreena's Vegan Cookies I baked with my sister!

Ali stirring away:

And into the heat they go!

Right out of the oven:

Ahh they are sooo delicious, I took one bite of the dough and knew 9 wasn't enough. I HAD to make a second batch! So I whipped up another, and now I have enough to share with even more people =)
I can't believe how tasty they are with no milk, and no eggs! Sure, theres a LOT of sugar... but at least we used whole wheat flour!

My treat:

We flattened them out so they were nice and big and round. Delish! I enjoyed mine fully, and am bringing a couple back to campus to enjoy this week. My mom and sister enjoyed them as well!

I am a big carob fan too, even though I do love my chocolate, carob is a GREAT alternative... these cookies turned out fabulous! (I saw you made them with white chips too; definately something I want to try as well!)
