I've been trying to be frugal, spending money on only what I need to spend money on to save for Italy and various expenses for the house next year. So, I've been just buying the important basics (fresh produce, non dairy milks, etc) each week for food, and working off of what I have in my "dorm pantry" (along with weekend leftovers!) for the past few weeks. Well, this has worked for a while, but I am running dangerously low in the food area now, so I'm definately going to have to go on a "bigger" shopping this weekend. I'm saving my big whole foods trip for before I move back home for the summer though, that will be my BIG stock-up!
This morning I had 1/2 a chocolate chip peanut butter clif bar, and went to the track for a really good 40 minute run. I feel pretty well prepared for tomorrow, lets just hope the rain holds off!
Since I'm trying to use what I have, for BreakfastI finished up the last of my ginger granola (1/2 cup) and combined this with 1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean (Honey, Almond Flax) and mixed this with my last Fage 0% greek yogurt, and had a juicy orange on the side. It was a nice combo, very satisfying!
I hope it holds me, because I'm so low on food I don't even have enough for lunch today, so I'm going to grab something on campus with my mom later today before I head home to do some quick cooking/baking for tonight!
My cousin and cousin-in-law are having a fun "family game night" tonight, and my sister and I are in charge of appetizers/dessert. The menu is pizza, so we decided to go with the "italian" theme... I'm making 3 kinds of vegan crostini, using recipes from ED&BV, and Skinny Bitch in the Kitch. Should turn out well!
We're also making the coconut cake from ED&BV that I am very excited about also!
Better go get my work finished so I can have a fun night tonight!
Happy Friday everyone!

Have a wonderful Friday!
I hope I can get the groceries too, my paycheck was a bit more this week so I think I can swing it.
I'm actually pretty excited to "have" to go get groceries... I get to try a few new things I've had my eye on!
Have a great Friday yourself =)
