I was very lucky to get out of class 25 minutes early today; my professor went through the power point super quick, told us to "have a nice weekend!" and we were out! I called my Mom and let her know we could get going a bit earlier, so I headed back to the dorm, gathered my things and left campus 1/2 an hour earlier than planned! I love good timing =)
I let my Mom choose the on-campus restaurant, and I was very pleased with her selection- my favorite, International Pockets Cafe! I love how friendly and generous they are there. As soon as we walked in they handed us little falafel rounds dipped in hummus, and I was "bad"... I ate mine up, I was so hungry! I ordered my wrap, a baked falafel wrap (whole wheat) wth all the veggies- lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, banana pepper, as well as some tabbouleh, a few tbsp of hummus , hot sauce and a little tahini. I passed on the feta because I knew we'd probably be having cheese tonight on the pizza; and I don't like to have a lot of dairy.
It was absolutely delicious, I devoured every last bite!
Look at that yummy falafel, banana pepper, tahini and hot sauce... mmm!
We also were offered complimentary mini pieces of baklava with honey... of course I couldn't pass up my favorite middle eastern dessert! I enjoyed my tiny treat fully, and happily licked the extra honey as well!
I'm about to start my baking/cooking projects for the day, I'll post late tonight when I get back from game night! Have a safe, fun Friday night!
