Pancake perfection!

I am NOT a pancake person. The only place you'll ever find me ordering a pancake out is Crazy Burger, because theres something about that fluffy, blueberry deliciousness dusted in powdered sugar that makes me smile every time... but enough daydreaming. Even THAT is a rare occasion (because I normally get their tofu scramble. Anyone else catch the drift I have a bit of a Crazy Burger addiction? anywho...)

Honestly, I don't really like pancakes. They've never done it for me, not enough flavor, texture (flat and soft? no chew!), too bland. But there IS one pancake I LOVE... Kath's Oatmeal Pancake!
Last night, I mixed together 1/2 cup egg whites with 1/2 cup dry oats, 1/2 tsp baking powder and a bit of vanilla. This morning I poured the thick batter into my little pan, the egg whites still spread out a bit at the edges, but it tasted good to me! I added 1 tbsp PB and a mashed banana with cinnamon to the top to complete my power pancake breakfast. Perfection! This is one kind of pancake I could eat every day!

I am SO full, in an awesome way! This has everything I would ever want in a breakfast- whole grains, fruit, peanut butter, and a whole lotta protein from all those egg whites- which is great, especially since I'm trying to turn my Italy weight into muscle!

Today my plans are going for a nice long walk with my Mom, some strength- abs today because I did arms yesterday (still too achy for leg exercises)... but I have a bit of a predicament with my arms. I REALLY would love to tone my arms. But honestly, I have about as much upper body strength as a mouse. And I'm not talkin' Stuart Little. When I was in training in karate a few years back, my arms were much more strong- I was doing pushups every other day, I could lift twice my weight... but that was then. When I do exercises now I FEEL like I'm getting a workout, and then I never feel it the next day like I do when I work my legs really hard, or my abs. Anyone have any suggestions on killer arm-toning exercises that aren't TOO complicated and that will make me see and feel results?? Grazie Mille!

You should try yoga. All the chaturangas and dolphins really make the arms sore the next day. :)
