Changing History

I hope you all voted today, and if not- the polls are still open! Get over there now!

I had a nice day, it wasn't too stressful, and getting everything I intended to get done finished was a big plus! I couldn't believe how much I accomplished before 7pm, after such a late start!

When I got home from brunch I immediately blogged and set out to do some Anatomy studying. I did about two hours of Anatomy and some Kinesiology (my exam for that is Thursday) before having a pre-run snack- a mini pb&j using a whole wheat Arnold's sandwich thin, and 1 tbsp each raspberry preserves and all natural PB.

I went for a glorious 27-minute run in my neighborhood- it was the PERFECT weather, 60 degrees with hardly any wind! When I got back I did some abs on the bosu ball, and some real pushups... I'm still only at 10 (I just started though!) my goal is 25-30.
After my run and some more studying, I had another afternoon snack- 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese to hold me until dinner.

I met up with my mom when she got out of work and we headed to our polling place- which is conveniently located right across the street from my Aunt's house, so we just parked there and walked over, avoiding anxious voter traffic! I cast my first ever vote in a Presidential Election, and I have my fingers crossed the majority of the rest of the U.S. is with me on my decision!
After I voted, of course I HAD to stop at Starbucks for a cup of free coffee!

When I got home I made myself a fabulous dinner, using Jenna from Eat Live Run's Chicken Piccata recipe, as well as two of my favorites along side it- 1/2 a micro- baked sweet potato and some fresh brussels sprouts I drizzled in EVOO with some s&p and roasted for 20 minutes at 425. These have got to be my favorite veggie of all time, this meal was sooo yummy and satisfying!

I still have a bunch of studying to do tonight, but I think Tyler and I might head up the street soon for another election day freebie... I'll post pics as soon as I get home!!

EDITED TO ADD: I am biting my nails to the quick and can't concentrate on my studying anymore I'm so anxious about this vote!! At least I had a nice calming voting treat from Ben and Jerry's up the street- a free cone of Sweet Cream&Cookie! YUM! Totally worth the extra few calories for a chance to change history. =)

I'm also snacking on about a cup of mixed berries while I grit my teeth and beg the rest of the US votes for OBAMA!!!
