Dinner for a king and a fresh breakfast

Morning guys!
Can you believe it's Friday already? This week has been craaaazy! But this time, I'm definitely not glad it's over!
I'm excited for Christmas to be upon us... but the boy is leaving the day after tomorrow, as is the best guy friend (although he'll only be 40 minutes away)... the roommate is already gone and we're expecting a snowstorm!!
Ah, well- I'll make the best I can of the time I have!

Dinner went great last night- I made Nick a big meal of some of the things I know he loves... I tried my hand at steak again and pan seared some filet mignon steaks with a red wine sauce drizzled over them, and made blanched fresh green beans, and my own garlic chive cheesy mashed potatoes. He said the dinner was "amazing"... and I have to agree! I loved everything, however I only ate 3/4 of my steak- not used to so much meat, of course!

As good as dinner was... I was much more excited for the special dessert I prepared! I made individual tiramisus, because Nick 'doesn't eat dessert'... but loves Tiramisu. We both loved it, but it was so rich neither of us could finish it!!

This was definitely not the healthiest dessert I have ever made... probably the most un-healthy... but it was a special treat that was well worth it!

This morning I woke up and went to the gym to burn off some of those rich dinner calories. I did 35 minutes on the elliptical followed by about 30 minutes of arm exercises. I felt nice and strong!
After, I stopped by Bagelz to pick up fresh bagels! I had a whole wheat bagel, which I toasted at home and topped with 1tbsp Peanut Butter and 1 tbsp raspberry preserves. Paired with a big banana and a cup of vanilla spice bagelz cofee with a splash of 1% milk. Yum!!

This morning I'm going to relax a bit... then I have a special surprise for you in the afternoon before I head off to run my errands and go out to dinner for my Grandma's birthday!
Have a wonderful Friday, all!
