Riding the saddle

Another big happy birthday to my grandpa, we had a lot of fun celebrating his big *-3!!! (I won't reveal his real age but hint hint... it's more than 23!)

A big steak dinner was in order because, what else do you order at a steakhouse but steak??
I had a couple starters- a few peanuts while I was waiting...

(Yes, I threw the shells on the floor and it felt weird!!)
One of their famous sweet rolls...

and a snake bite (jalepeno pepper and cheese... these were reeeeally good but fried so I just stuck with one!)

I picked out my steak, I chose the leanest cut- a 6 oz Dallas Filet. On the side I had a baked sweet potato and fresh veggies, both of which I asked for plain- no butter or toppings.

I ate about 3/4 the steak and potato, and most of the veggies- left the carrots because they tasted funny (?)

Of course we enjoyed dessert while watching my grandpa ride the saddle!!

My twin cousins, sister and I shared a brownie sundae... there were four of us, and we only finished about 2/3 of this. I had a few yummy bites!

I definitely indulged tonight, but I felt full and not stuffed! I was so happy, I felt like I had my treats, but in moderation. Plus I ate healthy all day so I didn't feel bad having a little extra while celebrating ;) Balance is always best!

Tomorrow is a LONG day for me, so I'll post about it later in the evening when I get home! I can't believe the week is half over already! I have been busy busy!
