Hot and cold

Hello lovely bloggies,

TGIF!!!
With all that's been going on lately, with my health, happiness and whatnot I am so thankful to have two nice nights of relaxation ahead of me!

This morning I started my day the healthy way with a big ol' protein smoothie. 1 cup frozen berries, 1 cup nonfat soy milk, a scoop of chocolate Designer Whey and a big banana.
Chilly, but delicious. At least it's in the 20's today!!
I did have a big mug of Earl Grey tea to warm me up. I hate to admit it... but I am feeling much better sans coffee. I guess I really am more of a tea girl.

Went to the gym, and got a good workout in- 35 minutes (I made it there early enough this time!!) on the elliptical followed by 30 minutes of arm exercises.
Tricep dips (15 each set) extensions, and kickbacks- 3 sets of 6/15 lbs
Bicep pulses, curls, monkey curls and pressups- 3 sets of 6/15 lbs
Rows, Sitting bench press- 2 sets 8/15 lbs
I'm feeling stronger, hopefully I can pump it up to 8/10 reps each next week!!
I also did 2 sets of 10/30 lbs of shrugs.

On the way to school I snacked on my usual baggie of almonds, and then after class I dug into a lunch I was very excited about- Mom's Minestrone! My dad stopped by the other night to drop me off a couple things and he surprised me with a bowl of soup my mom had made the night before! She makes a great pot of minestrone- this one's chock full of zucchini, carrots, onions, tomatoes, celery, chickpeas, and barley. Yum! I also had a baggie of grapes.

After doing some studying I picked up the roomie and we headed back home to do some Friday cleaning- we're having a couple of friends over tonight for Pizza so we wanted the house to be nice and sparkling!
After scrubbing some counters and doing some dishes I got hungry, so I grabbed this:

So good! Sweet but not too sweet, creamy and delish! Only downfall? This did not hold me over like my Chobanis usually do.
I headed to the store for some antipasti for dinner and by the time I got back I was starving again! Like, stomach growling starving after only an hour!!
So I had the other half of my new love- Peanut Butter Think Thin bars!

Hopefully this will keep me full until we have dinner in a couple hours!
I'll try and post later tonight, but we're going Bowling after pizza so I'll see how late it gets!!

By the way: I'm not sure if any of you noticed, but I am now a Food Buzz Featured Publisher!! It's a great site, so if you have time check 'em out!!
