Changes

Evening everyone!

I had a great day in Newport with my mom, and now I'm relaxing back at home after dinner!

I had to eat a speedy dinner, because early tomorrow morning I am going in for a minorly-invasive procedure- an endoscopy to figure out what those stomach problems I was having a while back were. Shouldn't be too much of a hassle, I just had to stop eating after 7pm tonight (I have to go over 12 hours without food! ahhh!) and tomorrow morning I'm having the procedure, and then my dad is bringing me out to breakfast and home because I can't drive due to the medications I'll be recovering from. I'll be back for a big Irish dinner though, no worries! I'm not too excited to get a tube stuck down my throat... but I am very curious to find the root of my pain, so I'll be sure to let you know how it goes!

On a happier note, I ate lots of yummy food today! It seemed to be an Italian-themed day- for lunch my mom and I stopped at the Panini Grill. We started with bowls of tomato basil soup with feta on top and crispy spiced bread pieces. Yum! I ate 3/4 of my bowl and 3 of the 5 bread pieces.

For my panino, I chose the Portabella mushroom, which had huge chunks of grilled portabella mushroom, onion, tomato, basil and mozarella cheese on herbed foccacia. I devoured it!

After doing a lot of job-searching and window shopping, my mom and I stopped at the fudge shop and got a piece of Rocky Road fudge to share! Yum!

After picking up my sister and doing a couple of errands, I came home and made the most tasty filling dinner I could think of- my Gnocchi with Pancetta and Spinach I made for Nick earlier in the year.
I had a big plateful...

Some salad with Annie's Woodstock drizzled on top...

and another small helping, because I wanted to be nice and full for 12+ hours!

And I used the "I need to be full" excuse to have my second dessert of the day... a no sugar added Chocolate Kozyshack! The perfect way to end my eating and start my fast =)

Now for the reason behind the name of my post...

As some of you might have noticed, I've been talking a lot about packing and moving. I figured it was about time I let you guys know what's going on.
Over the last few days, I have been packing up my beach house and moving my belongings back to my parent's house. My roommate and I have not been getting along, and although I love living by myself with my own kitchen, it was not working out so my stuff is back here at home. I'll still be going to school and work as usual, so my schedule will remain the same but I'll be dividing my time between my parent's house in the North End and Nick's house in the South End. Now, this is going to mean a couple of changes to the blog. For the next few days (until break is over!) I'll be able to post Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner as normal as possible- 1-2 posts a day. But starting next week, my posts will be a little different. I'll have to start posting once a day, in the afternoon, because Nick and Eric don't have the internet at their house and I'll be getting back to my parent's late at night.
My posts will likely go- Last night's dinner/Breakfast/Lunch/Snack instead of B/L/S/D, but I'll try and make it the least confusing as possible!
This will only be for the next couple of months, and I'll be back to more regular posting in the summer!
I hope you all keep reading, even though my posting may be a bit frantic, I'll still be cooking, eating and posting about it regularly! I appreciate all of my lovely readers and commenters, you always brighten my day!

I have some un-packing to do now, so I'll be back late tomorrow with a St. Patty's day recap! Night everyone!

Good luck on your procedure tomorrow Kristin, I hope everything turns out okay, and they can find the source of your pain! That panini grill looks delish (I may be heading to Newport Saturday after lunch with you guys actually haha)...maybe I'll hafta suggest that we stop there with my uncle! ;)

The gnocchi looks awesome too...I Love Love Love gnocchi! I'm sorry to hear you and your roommate aren't getting along, but I hope the changes you wind up making to your living arrangements are positive ones! :)

Have a great night!
