Home and healthy

Good afternoon, and Happy St. Patty's Day!!

I just got home after a long, but pretty simple procedure!
I got a bit nervous beforehand, especially because I was HUNGRY... but the doctor was super nice and it went by quickly, which was good. Immediately after the procedure my Dad met me in the recovery area, and the nurse brought me a little 4-oz cup of cranberry juice and a couple saltines. Best post-surgery meal I've ever had! (I've never had surgery before, haha)
It turns out the source of my pains was really severe Acid Reflux, so my doctor gave me an Rx for some strong meds when it happens again. I'm glad I have a way to fix it now!

After I left the endoscopy center, my dad took me out to breakfast at Panera, because I was one hungry girl after only cranberry juice and saltines in 14 hours!! I had what I was craving- a delicious egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich on fresh ciabatta.

I was impressed at how good this was- the egg was definitely freshly fried, and there was only two pieces of bacon and a small bit of cheese so it wasn't too heavy a meal.

I also snacked on some grapes and a multi-v Vitaminwater I had in the car.

On the way home, my dad and I stopped at the Post Office to pick up a very special package...

Chocolate Chip Blondies with cranberry-blueberry spread, by the famous Veggiegirl!

I HAD to tear off a piece in the car- Holy yum is right!
When I came home I immediately packed up half to put in the freezer to save, and had a bunch of nibbles as I did! I gave my dad a piece and he walked around going "wow, these are really good! WOW! really good!!" I must agree! Thank you so much Veggiegirl! These have to be the best blondies I've ever eaten, bar none!

This afternoon will be spent relaxing (no exercise after the procedure) and doing some unpacking before I make a big Irish feast for the fam. Hope you all have a great St. Patty's day!!
