Dressing for Spring

Erica's right. A little chocolate can't hurt!
As long as I keep it in moderation, at least. I need to remember to take my own advice and not stress too much about it. I still look good, I feel good, I'm happy!

Which is how I justified digging into this chocolatey beauty my mom bought for me- a "pre easter treat" as she called it.

Mmm... creamy, chocolatey... Totally worth it!

I listened to my body on the way to work today when my cottage cheese snack, although delicious, just didn't cut it- I dug into this as well.

Did the trick, and work went by fast!
I got home and after a couple printer issues I managed to get the few tasks I needed done, get some bags packed for the morning and get to bed at a decent time.

(So early I missed the boy's goodnight text because I was already fast asleep!)

This morning I woke up, checked the weather and decided on packing some springy attire- it was supposed to be around 50, so I'm styling my favorite comfy jeans, brown Steve Madden flats, flowy flower tank top and cardigan. Notice I bolded "tank top". Today was NOT warm. It's grey, slightly drizzly and, well, definitely not spring-y.
Shows that even if you dress for the sun, the rain still comes.
Ah, well- I'm a bit chilly but I look cute =)

Aside from my shivers, I still managed to pack in some yummy, nutritious meals. Today's breakfast was a smoothie, which I have not been making often enough! Can you guess the ingredients?

1 cup frozen berries, 1 cup nonfat soy milk, a banana and a scoop of chocolate designer whey.

The gym was alright, but I had to cut 5 minutes from my strength routine because I was a few minutes late! Still working on good form but I'm getting there so I'm hoping to increase my reps some by next week! Soon I'll be at my goal and maintaining my nice new toned arms instead of increasing the weight more!

For lunch today I packed my favorite version of a tuna wrap- 3 oz chunk light tuna mixed with a whole chopped carrot, a stalk of celery, 1 tbsp SmartBalance Mayo, ~1.5 tsp dijon mustard, lemon juice and some capers.

All stuffed in a HUGE whole grain lavash, and paired with some gorgeous strawberries my mom was nice enough to share with me.

For snacks, I packed a light string cheese I had after the gym and a Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar (!!!) I found at Whole Foods the other day. I guess they're back! Slowly but surely. Whoo!!

I may grab a piece of fruit or something after class, because I have to make a quick shopping trip (workout clothes!) and Nick doesn't get home until close to 7 so dinner will be later.

Tonight I'm planning a favorite of both Nick & I's... Can anyone guess what it is?

'See' you tomorrow!

Haha, I really like the label on that Trader Joe's granola bar...LOL.

Cadbury Cream Eggs are such a tasty treat around Easter time, glad you enjoyed! :)
