Going, going, going

Gosh, I understand how busy the Easter bunny must feel, going from place to place! Or the Energizer bunny… think they’re friends?

Whew. Another jam-packed start to my weekend.

Friday night was just as fun as I had planned. Since Katrina was a few minutes late, I decided to have an ‘appetizer’ while I was waiting because I was hungry- the rest of the melon, with a slice of prosciutto!

When she got here, we ordered take out from Crazy Burger, then headed to the store for a hair dye-buy.

Dinner was wonderful, but I would never expect less from Crazy Burger! Katrina tried my favorite, the Wild and Crazy Mushroom Burger, while I ventured out again and tried the ‘Silly Turkey Burger’- a blend of ground turkey and risotto, with basil goat cheese mayo on their signature bun. The mayo was on the side, which was good because although I slathered on a generous portion, it wasn’t too much.

I also had sweet potato fries on the side (+10 or so, I ate some on the way!)

We ate, we talked and had fun, Nick came home and devoured his Moo Moo melt burger, and then we dyed Katrina’s hair, which turned out to be gorgeous with some pretty blonde hilights, and while her dye was setting we made Oatmeal Raisin cookies! I had promised I’d make her cookies for a while, but she suggested we make them together and it was a great idea! I used the only no-mixer recipe I could find, which was NOT healthy considering it involves a whole stick of butter, but we halved the recipe and managed to make 21 cookies out of an 18-cookie recipe, so it wasn’t too bad (kind of).

They came out wonderful! I had one… two… oh, I lost count. But they were worth it! Between the 6 of us here, there were only 2 left in the morning!

Overall, it was a great night, and although I wasn’t thrilled to wake up at 6:30 and get ready for work this morning, at least I was happy =)

I made myself a big bowl of protein-packed oats to fuel my long day- 1/2 cup 7 grain oats, cooked with 1/2 cup nonfat soy milk and 1/2 cup water, 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder, a sliced banana and a spoonful of almond butter.

Mmm... this is like dessert for breakfast!

Work was... LONG... my gosh, the day did NOT go by fast. I felt like the time was ticking by slower than it ever has, and I think it's because I had SO MUCH to do this afternoon!! For food at work, I packed a luna bar, which I had 1/2 of in the morning and 1/2 of in the afternoon. For lunch I packed this wrap-

I got it FREE at the coffee shop in the library at school because it was going to go bad today, and the library is closed this weekend! Score! It was delicious. I had it with a side of grapes.

Altogether-

After work, I headed to Shaw's and the Alternative Food Co op for some last minute Easter dinner shopping. I grabbed this at the co-op because I still needed a little snack to hold me over, and I ate it on the way home.

Now I'm here at home, packing my stuff for the week and doing a little school work before I go back over to Nick's house to make dinner. Like I said, going, going going!! I'll be posting mid-morning and late evening tomorrow as well. Have a great night-before and Easter morning!
