Time constraints

I'll apologize in advance for my quick entry; I have yet to do any exam studying today because I was out super late last evening, so I slept in this morning, took a quick gym trip and helped Nick move the bulk of his stuff to Newport.

The formal last night was nice; I had a date stuffed with almond butter for a mid afternoon snack to hold me until dinner.

The dinner was at Arturo Joes, so there was a delicious spread of hot Italian food, served buffet style. I had a little of everything- a piece of warm foccacia to start (delicious!) and two small squares of pizza (greek and margherita) for apps. For dinner, I had some salad with no dressing, a bit of penne alla vodka, some shell pasta with shrimp and veggies, chicken with mushrooms and roasted red peppers and then for dessert I had chocolate mousse, which I ate 3/4 of and handed off to the boy.

I thought the formal was very well done. There were some awards given out; Nick won outstanding crew, which is a big honor, so he was very happy to have one that! The coach honored the large group of seniors well; he talked about the good and bad about every single one of them, so it was fun to hear, even though I didn't know most of them!

It was a fun night; we went to a party afterwards, hence why I was out to the wee hours of the morning, and this morning I woke up pretty exhausted. I re-fueled with a multigrain bagel smeared with some almond butter and raspberry preserves and a banana.

It was crunch time at the gym; and not the ab kind. I only had 45 minutes to do cardio and arms, so I did what I could- 25 minutes on the elliptical doing hills and 20 minutes doing upper body; using multijoint exercises to target multiple muscle groups at once to get a good workout in a short period of time.

After getting home and packing our cars with boxes, Nick and I headed to Island Deli to get sandwiches for lunch. I had an italian style sandwich that I literally described to Nick as being, "amazing, everything I love about Italy in a sandwich!" (He can attest to how excited I was about this sammie, I downed the whole thing!) Pesto, roasted red peppers, prosciutto and fresh mozzarella on big hunk of fresh baguette (ok, not italian bread. but still good!).

After moving, I took a trip to Natural Foods (I couldn't resist!) to pick up a couple things and then headed back home, where I'm getting some work done before meeting Nick for a mexican dinner!
I bought this juice to try; Bossa Nova superfruit juice in Acai mango flavor! I'll review it tomorrow!!
