Kind of Italian

Evening guys!

I had another long, albeit fun day! I'm tired, so my post will be brief =)

I woke up to a big yogurt bowl to fuel my morning.

1 0% chobani cup, ~1/3 cup each of cereal crumbs from Kashi U and Kashi Go Lean as "granola", sliced strawberries and banana and a few almond slivers.

I went for a run this morning;  my knee was aching a lot so 30 minutes was enough for me.
When I got back I was hankering for some fruit, so my mid-morning snack was a juicy nectarine!

I headed out for some shopping and then made my way to Danielle's new house (less than 5 minutes away from mine!) for lunch!
We had intended on doing an all-out italian feast, but we were lacking supplies so we settled on sort-of Italian =)

We started with fresh Italian bread from the bakery up the street and prosciutto e melone!

For our entree, it was our favorite pasta dish... from a box! Annie's Organic Mac and Cheese!

We hadn't discussed dessert beforehand, so Danielle and I BOTH ended up bringing dessert! Of course we had to share both!

I brought mini cannoli from the bakery...

and she made strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream!

We had lots of frosting fun...

I stayed for a couple hours and we had lots of fun chatting and catching up!

Sadly, Danielle had to go to work and I had plans to go trunk shopping with my Dad for camp. So off we went to Wal-Mart, where I found myself a nice big trunk to haul all my new ON shorts and tees to camp with me!

I was starving once we got home, so I whipped up a quick and healthy dinner- my favorite burger, of the Sunshine Variety that is, on a whole wheat sandwich thin with soy cheese, organic ketchup and honey mustard. I also had a big salad with spring greens, grape tomatoes and cucumber, drizzled in Annie's organic green garlic dressing. Yum!

I had to have dessert... it's my last day eating dessert for a while!

A VeggieGirl blondie hit the spot!

Tomorrow starts my Green & Healthy challenge! Yay!
