Ghee-licious!

How cheesy can I get, right?

But I wasn't kiddin' when I pronounce my new love for oatbran and ghee... after seeing it on Jenna's page, and reading how good it is for vatas, I knew I had to get my hands on some.
I found some organic ghee at the natural food's store near my hair stylist, Food for Thought.

This morning I heated 1/2 cup oatbran with 1 cup skim milk in a pan, added 1 tsp of ghee, then after it was all cooked I added in 1 banana (I know some ayurvedic specialists suggest not having fruit in the morning- it's never given me problems, so I'm going with those who think it's ok- bananas are dosha-friendly to me anywho!) a sprinkle of cinnamon and a sprinkle of brown sugar. The ghee made it buttery and almost savory, combined with the sweetness of the 'nana and brown sugar, mmm mmm! Hit the spot!

I think I may try microwaving it next time, it may make it creamier- I tend to overcook and make my oats a bit sticky- they're still good though!

I slept in a bit this morning and am heading to the gym in a while- I decided not to go first thing in the morning because it snowed overnight and I didn't want to go out before the plows did!

I think after the gym, depending on the roads I'm going to head to URI to pick up my books, and then back here to get all my school stuff ready for wednesday. I can't believe I start in only two days!

What are your favorite things to do to prepare for school?
I actually like mapping out my schedule and getting my planner all ready- I love being organized!
