For some reason, I have been hungry all day long!
I went to the gym this morning and had a nice 30 minute elliptical workout (level 10 now!) followed by a challenging strength routine. I finally ditched the 12 lb weights in favor of 15's, so I did my usual routine with 6 reps/3 sets of 15 pounds. I'm also working with 30 lbs for shrugs. It was a good workout, but left me quite hungry at the end of it! I dug into some of the food I had packed:
I had the cheese stick before class, and then afterwards I immediately went to the library to heat up my soup (Amy's Black Bean) which I had with some grapes.
Did some studying, but felt hungry the entire time!! When snack time rolled around I devoured this:
which was AWESOME, but still wasn't enough! I bought a small macintosh apple to go with it and luckily that held me through my last class.
Back home, I was starving again- so I quickly made a chicken sausag/veggie stirfry for Nick and myself using these new chicken sausages:
I liked them a lot, but both of us agreed they could have a bit more flavor. Maybe I'll try another flavor next time I go up to TJ's! For the stirfry I used a tsp of EVOO, added the chicken, some chopped zucchini, red onion, diced tomatoes, and capers along with some parsley, oregano and red pepper flakes. It all came together really well, mixed with a big heap of whole wheat rotini!
I had a big serving topped with a bit of parmesan cheese for flavor.
This filled me up, but I'm sure I'll be going for a snack later. I'm such a hungry girl today!!

Hi Kristin,
I was thinking about you (and Nick) last night because You Will Go Far Kid was played during The City. It took me a while to realize where I knew the song from, and then I remembered I looked it up after Nick mentioned it was on your playlist in his best songs of 2008 post.
