Can you believe it's spring in a week? I can't, it's still freezing out there!
I woke up this morning feeling like a whole lotta crapola... But I knew I needed to get a workout in, because something is better than nothing, and sweating always makes me feel at least a little bit better!
I had a big snack before I left- I was planning on going to brunch, so I knew I needed something to hold me a good few hours before my first meal of the day. Banana+almond butter did the trick!
I spent 40 minutes at the gym, 30 minutes walking on an incline on the treadmill and 10 minutes spinning on the stat bike. Nothing too intense, but it made me feel better as I had planned.
I met up with my friend Katrina at our favorite breakfast spot- Crazy Burger of course! I'm so sad she's leaving tomorrow to go back to school, but I had a fun brunch with her!
We both ordered fab fresh squeezed juices...
My favorite combo- Mango + Grapefruit!
For my meal, I had one thing on my mind- eggs! Whenever I'm feeling down, I crave poached eggs like you wouldn't believe. I decided today's brunch would be my start-of-break splurge, so I ordered exactly what I wanted- Eggs Benedict!
Mmm, runny just-poached eggs with candian bacon and hollandaise on a bolo... to die for!
I ate both of the eggs, and half of the amaaaazing home fries that came with it! I also tried to avoid using a lot of the fatty sauce, but of course I had enough to taste it ;)
I always order the same thing at CB, I'm so glad I branched out this time because it was exactly what the doctor ordered! I swear I feel 10 times better after all that creamy, savory goodness!
Today I'm packing and moving some stuff back to my parents house, so it should be a busy day! I'll be posting late tonight after I make the fam & Nick a nice big meal for dinner!
Have a great Saturday, all!
