What a way to enter into March!
We were hit with a big ol' Nor-easter here in RI, blanketing the area (and streets!) with snow... I can only guess how much snow, because classes were cancelled and I'm not going out there any time soon!! Weather.com says about 9.5" so far!!!
When I woke up this morning I got the news via text message, and promptly went back to sleep for an hour =)
When I finally arose, I made myself a nice warming breakfast- oat bran with nonfat soy milk, a tsp of ghee, a sliced banana and some cinnamon.
I hung out in the morning, had a light cheese stick mid-morning and did 45 minutes of Yoga on the ipod for some exercise and relaxation, all in one!
After yoga and some school work, I made myself another warm meal- soup! I tried this new variety:
It was very tasty, very filling- my only complaint being the HUGE amount of sodium in it (hello, reaching the DV after one can...) but it was good for every once in a while. I also had some grapes to round out my meal.
Unfortunately even though we have no school, I still have loads of work to do... so my afternoon will be spent doing that!
Not sure what dinner looks like so far, Nick never made it home this morning due to the weather conditions (I think they stayed in Virginia?) so if he's home tonight I'll go with the plan, if not- it's leftovers for me! I'll keep ya updated.
For all those in the Northeast, stay warm and dry! Everyone else... I am sooo jealous ;)
