Afternoon guys- it's Monday again!
I had a slight panic attack a couple of hours ago; I reached in my bag for my laptop at school and realized I left my power cord at my parents' house! Luckily my dad was awesome enough to bring it to me at school (and buy me a coconut water at Bagelz, the coffee shop I'm studying at!) so I could get some work done. Which is why this post is a little late!
Other than that, my day in general, right down to the food I've eaten, has been pretty simple. Simple but busy, that is! You can definitely feel the end of the semester is in the air. I have SO much to do in the next couple of weeks- a lab, an exam, a case study, a paper, a book review, my final portfolio, and of course 3 finals in two and a half weeks!!
After having a few bites of leftover broccoli bake and watching something about Aliens on The History Channel with Nick (we're geeks) I got to bed at a fairly decent time last night. I got a good night's sleep, which was great because I haven't been sleeping much at all lately!!
I woke up craving Almond butter oats, but then I realized I had no more oats at the house, so I settled with oatbran (1/2 cup), cooked with nonfat soy milk (1 cup) a sliced banana and a scoop of almond butter.
It was SO creamy (and sunny out!) and was the perfect start to my Monday.
I headed to the gym, happy to get back in my usual workout, 35 minutes on the elliptical (with new headphones!!) and 35 minutes of arm strengthening.
I had one class in the morning, then I had my lunch while doing some research for my Creative Writing paper. I had some leftover ham on an Arnold's sandwich thin with spicy brown mustard and a light laughing cow, carrots and grapes. Just enough to fill me up!
For snacks I packed a cheese stick I ate post-gym, and an apple & vanilla chobani I just finished as a mid afternoon snack.
I have to get to class soon, then I have a fairly simple (but tasty!) dinner planned for tonight. Simple and sweet, hopefully I'll have another good night's sleep to make my Monday even better!
Kristin
