First time raw

Afternoon!

I have a little time to blog before I have to start getting ready... I'm so nervous about tonight I'm leaving an hour earlier than my start time to make sure I get there and parked on time! I know, I can be a ridiculous worrywort sometimes.

I did manage to get a LOT done around here today, I'm pretty proud of myself! I decided to nix the yoga, and have my running around all day/work night be my physical activity for the day. It's not like I'm sitting on my behind all day, I've been out and about!
Since I last posted, I've:
-put away all the previously washed dishes
-washed all the new dishes
-dried and put those away
-cleaned the kitchen
-cleaned the bedroom, made the bed
-fed Klaus
-folded and put away all my clothes
-went to Natural foods for some essentials
-went to stop&shop for more essentials
-made a chili, that's simmering on the stove
-made banana bran muffins (recipe from Cristin at the Eat Like Me blog!)

Whew! Toldya I've been busy!

I also made time for a raw lunch- my first of the challenge. I had a crisp organic Red Delicious apple on the way to Natural Foods.

And then when I got home, I threw together a big, healthy raw salad! It had lots of healthy fats, and a whole lot of nutrients! It was delicious, and filled me up!

It contained: arugula and spring beans, 1/2 an organic avocado, some raw organic sundried tomatoes, a sliced carrot, a drizzle of EVOO and juice from 1/4 of a lemon. Perfect!

I'm going to have my dinner at my usual "snack time" and pack a bar with me, as I mentioned. I'm a little nervous because I tend to get hungry often, but hopefully the filling chili will hold me over a number of hours and hopefully I'll get a break so I can have my bar!

Guess I should go get ready now! I'll let you know how my first night goes tomorrow!Have a great Saturday!
