Slip ups

Morning!

So I'll admit last night I had a bit of a healthy eating slip up. Nothing extreme, no binge-eating bouts or extra meals, but we settled down to watch a movie, popped up some Healthy Pop popcorn (not a bad choice for a late night snack)... then the sour patch kids came out, and I had 10-15 of those.
Not a big deal I know, but because I'm trying to be so healthy I was a little disappointed in myself.

But today is a new day!

This morning I made up for my late night snacking with a GREAT workout and some healthy eats.

I was starving when I woke up so I had an unpictured banana before I hit the treadmill for a 30-minute workout. I did 5 minutes of walking to warm up, then I did 20 minutes of HIIT (high intensity interval training) straight from the BFL plan, just to try it out, because it's a rainy day and I prefer not to run in the rain.

This is all I have to say: WOAH.

By far, the BEST intensity workout I have ever had. I was dripping with sweat so much so that I had to take my shirt off I was so warm! I thought I wasn't going to make it through- in fact, I skipped the last minute because it was just too much!  But I got 20 minutes of that in before a 5-minute walking cooldown and breakfast.

Breakfast was BFL friendly and delicious if I do say so myself!

I made an egg white scramble that included:
  • 1/2 c egg whites
  • 1/2 vine ripe tomato
  • handful mushrooms, sauteed in EVOO spray
  • large handful spinach, cooked with mushrooms
  • LCL cheese wedge mixed in
  • sprinkle of Mrs. Dash garlic herb seasoning

Not the prettiest, but taste perfection and packed with healthy ingredients! Yum!

So Peko and I's plan was to go to Newport for the day, but because of the rain we're changing our plans to go to Warwick instead and hit up the bookstore, Target and Trader Joe's!!

I'll be back after dinner for the day's post!
